Don’t Fall Into This Trap
Hold tight to your positive attitude about aging
During this particular week, precisely five days before Christmas day, who really wants to be doing annual checkups like mammograms or thyroid sonograms?
In my last article, I shared a few specific hard knocks I experienced in 2021. Yeah, it was a tough year. My eldest sister died, two adult children did not speak to me for a few months, and I lost my motivation to write, work, and live fully for many days.
Still, there were many opportunities to put my beliefs into practice, and I did- and I have survived.
I picked myself up and am ready to face the new year feeling stronger, better, and ready to achieve my goals to write more, live more fully, and serve others who wish to do the same.
Armed with these intentions, I decided not to uphold my usual practice of doing my annual physical on my birthday on January 31st. I wanted to ensure that nothing physical was responsible for my lethargic feelings. I suspected it was all the emotional stuff I had been through this year. But better to be safe than sorry.
